Aren't They Lovely

We recently had family pictures taken when my dad, ginny, and the entire family were in town on vacation. Here are some of my favorite pictures of my beautiful girls :) Bill and I even got to have some pictures of just the two of us. the photographer did a big group shot too of EVERYONE! that was funny trying to get 5 kids and 10 adults together.

School starts Tomorrow!!!!!

Both Bailey & Lia will start "school" tomorrow. Bailey begins 3 year old pre-school, going 3 times a week--tuesday, wednesday, thursday. Lia starts wee school (mothers day out) and goes two days a week--tuesday, and thursday. I have to say I am VERY EXCITED about tomorrow @ 9:00 am. Barring any illness or broken bones, my girls will be there with bells on!

Bailey is really excited about starting back up. 8 of the 12 kids in the class are returning from last year and the teachers are the same ones they had last year in the 2 year old class of wee school. I have to say I am a bit impressed with the "curriculum" that the teachers have developed. They said they are really going to focus on teaching the kids their letters and writing because kindergarten expects the kids to be able to read by years end. I think when I was in kindergarten we ate graham crackers and took naps. There is also a computer in the room and they will all have a chance to work on it daily! I swear, I didn't have a computer in my classroom until I was a freshman in high school.

Lia's little class will get to go out to the playground and go to the soft play room, which is a large room that is wall to wall padding. Bailey's classes used to play in their and they had such a blast!

Preparing for Fay

We are readying everything for the rain to come this weekend. Bailey helped me move our patio cushions to the garage and other things that might blow away in the wind. We're not expecting too much--just tons of rain (from what I've heard.) At least the grass will benefit. Hopefully it won't be too much. Pray for us.

Pudding

Lia loves pudding. I don't know what she likes more--eating it or squishing it between her fingers. She went immediately to the bathtub after this.

When 2 Become 1

We moved Bailey into Lia's room last week. It's going pretty well. Just trying to figure out the bedtime routine. Lia seems to wake up when we bring Bailey in the room and then the battle begins. But, overall, I am really pleased with how they are adjusting. Bailey seems to like sleeping in there. She told me she doesn't get scared anymore because Lia is there :) We just didn't realize how many toys the girls had until we put them all in one place. It's a little sickening. Bill is ready to throw all of it out. I love being able to close the door to the playroom and pretend it doesn't exist :)

Ballerina

Bailey started ballet & tap today. She is so excited to be a real ballerina. There are 2 other little girls in her class and they had such fun leaping and dancing around the room. here are some pics. they were taken from behind the viewing window so there is a glare on them.

Wedding Cake

Bailey made her first wedding cake this morning. It is so beautiful! We are very proud. She said she wants to put the pictures of her cake on her blog.

1 Year Well Visit

We went for Lia's one year well visit yesterday. Here are her stats:
Height: 30 3/4". She is in the 92% for height
Weight: 21 lbs. 3 oz. She is in the 60% for weight.

I definitely think she is going to pass Bailey up on height & weight. I keep telling Bailey she needs to watch out because Lia is going to take her one day.

Hair Wrap

Bailey got her first hair wrap last week with her cousins. She picked out all the colors and beads on it. It is so cute and she loves it :)

How Sweet It Is!

Well, my baby turned 1 last week! I can't believe she is already a year old. It seems like just yesterday that she was this tiny baby, so helpless. Now she is a sweet, funny, little toddler developing her own personality. Here are some pictures of her devouring her cupcake @ her party. We celebrated with pawpaw, ginny, keith, nat, anna, rose, helen, linda & denton. We had a blast @ the beach with everyone. I have to say the girls were ready to come home yesterday. They were worn out.
