Hi!

Lia can say "hi!" Bailey had fun directing the cut with me. You can hear her giggling in the background!

Yummy!

I let the girls play with markers while I ate dinner tonight. After eating, I began to load the dishwasher and noticed that Lia was being eerily quiet (you know the feeling!) Well, she was sucking on a purple marker! I am prepared for funny colored you know whats over the next couple of days :) I hope it tasted good. You can kind of see her tongue in the picture. It is definitely miscolored.

Gonna Make You Sweat

On the way to the gym this afternoon, Bailey informed me that you sweat because your body is cooling itself. Intrigued by the fact that my 3 year old was telling me how the human body works, I asked her how she knew this. She immediately responded, "mommy, I learned that years ago." What!? I nearly had to pull the car over I was laughing so hard. She then said, "Daddy told me that years ago." I asked Bill about it when we got home and he said that they had, indeed, had a conversation about things that your body tells you, i.e. you sweat when you get hot, you yawn when you are tired. How amazing that she remembered that and just the way she responded to me was priceless. Such a little diva!

roll over

lia likes to put her head on the ground prompting me to roll her over. here is a picture of her showing her stuff (literally!) she is such a mess.

pacifiers

Okay, so Lia LOVES her pacis. I went to check on her during her nap this afternoon and it is blatantly obvious that this little girl is a wee bit attached. I think we'll definitely have to make another trip to Build A Bear in about a year.

for those of you who don't know the story, when Bailey turned 2, we took her to Build a Bear to make a bear for her to put her pacis in. It was really sweet and now she has "Teddy" who houses her 6 pacis that she guarded with her life for the first 2 years of her life. I still like to pick up Teddy and feel the pacis in his back. I tear up almost everytime I do it. Bailey has already told Lia that when she becomes a big girl, she will have to give her pacis to a bear like she did.

Future Blogger

After numerous requests from Bailey, I am posting a video of her singing her favorite song "La, La." She asked me the other day to make a "bideo" of her singing to put on the blog. Well, we recorded the masterpiece and I then forgot to upload it onto the blog. Yesterday, she reminded me that we needed to add her "bideo" to the blog. It amazes me how technologically savvy she already is.
She loves to sing this "song" wherever we go--in the gym, @ the grocery store, and riding in the car.

Our next video is of her showcasing her favorite move from ballet, "grand, bat, mal." I have no idea how to really spell the "move" but this is how she says it. She was going to perform some of her other moves but got distracted by Presley's bone that had a bit of blood on it from her chewing on it so hard.

Lake Fun

We traveled to Paris Landing State Park in TN this weekend for a family reunion with my dad's family. It was a lot of fun. We rented a pontoon boat and jet ski one day with my cousins and the kids took turns riding on the jet ski and also being pulled with their parents in the tube behind the ski. bailey loved it! unfortunately, i forgot to take pics of that but here is a picture of lia & bailey riding on the pontoon boat and one of lia being silly in paw paws hat while we were hanging out in the cabin.

We had a great time & really enjoyed seeing family that we don't get to see that often :)

Happy Birthday

Here is a Happy Birthday Wish to Helen from Bailey. Note Bailey's new haircut. She got it today. It has long layers in it and is VERY CUTE!

we made a card for helen's birthday present today. i translated onto the card what bailey wanted it to say. here is a picture of it. watch out hallmark--she's quite the writer :)

Big Girl

I swear, Lia is growing too quickly for me! I feel like she has matured & changed so much in just the past 2 weeks. She was walking around in Bailey's nightgown yesterday and looked too cute. Here are some pics of her this morning before "school" in her little uniform shirt. She likes to watch the dogs eat their food. I think she is waiting to snatch up any leftovers.
